SACRAMENTO, CA. (February 1, 2017) – Diana Livingston recently joined DSR as a health care research analyst. She will assist DSR attorneys and their clients in identifying, researching, and analyzing emerging topics in the rapidly changing world of health care.
Diana is a former policy analyst for Covered California. In this role, she served as Covered California’s federal liaison during the launch of the Affordable Care Act. As a policy analyst, Diana developed familiarity with the complexities of the health care system, including the statutes and regulations that govern it.
Prior to working at Covered California, Diana worked as a research associate at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California supporting professors in the Department of National Security Affairs. Diana oversaw several trilateral conferences that brought together academics, politicians, military and security strategists from around the world, and had the unique opportunity of organizing and attending meetings with high level officials, including members of President Obama’s national security affairs team, as well as state department, and Pentagon officials in Washington, D.C.
Prior to her Naval Postgraduate School experience, Diana also worked as an investigator for the Habeas Corpus Resource Center, where she honed her research and investigation skills, assisting indigent, death row clients.
Diana earned her bachelor’s degree in U.S. History from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and her master’s degree in international security policy from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
