Wendy recently obtained her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
Wendy brings over 10 years of experience in state government and health policy to DSR. Prior to joining the firm, Wendy was Vice President of State Programs for the California Association of Health Plans (CAHP) where she was responsible for executing a comprehensive advocacy strategy on behalf of managed care health plans participating in Medi-Cal and on the Covered California Health Benefit Exchange. She also worked as Director of Regulatory Affairs at CAHP where she collaborated with a variety of stakeholders including state regulators, consumer advocates, and health care providers to represent California health plans’ interests on a broad array of Knox-Keene Act regulatory and compliance issues.
Wendy began her career at the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) in 2010. During her tenure, she served as the Senior Advisor for Policy Development at DHCS coordinating health care reform efforts, including the State’s development and negotiation for federal approval of a multi-billion-dollar section 1115 Waiver program for Medi-Cal.
